Perspective

Okay.

Got some good advice from a writer today about getting a first novel completed.

He said: Write.

The first draft should be ugly, dirty, quickly written, and full of holes.

Just write the thing.

I've been trying to write the best RESET I could on the first shot . . . giving myself no chance for improvement. I should just be writing based on the outline, and filling in the details later. I can't query a publisher without a first draft, so right now I'm in limbo. I can't say - here're the first 80 pages, what do you think?

Okay.

Course corrected. Back to the nastiness.
